Happy Hour at Kawana Island

Happy hours are a regular (and popular) event at Living Choice Retirement Villages and for residents at Living Choice Kawana Island, theme nights are what they do best at their weekly event.

Each Friday residents gather in the leisure centre to enjoy food and drinks and to mingle with one another and the two most recent happy hours definitely won’t be forgotten! On the 24th October an Oktoberfest themed happy hour took place and a week later a Halloween theme where residents dressed up in their best costumes and had a “hoot” of a time.

The Oktoberfest happy hour was full of German food, (did someone say pretzels?!) and residents dressed up in their Lederhosen. The Halloween night saw residents dressed in their spookiest costumes, from witches to devils and everything in between, including a headless man, while mingling with each other over some Halloween themed food.

Happy hours at the villages are a great opportunity for people to get to know each other better in a relaxed setting, catch up with friends and to enjoy themselves through the themed nights. These nights wouldn’t be possible without the amazing residents who organise them and for Kawana Island, Victoria Hoggan is always at the forefront setting up the events for residents. Great work to Victoria and helpers, we can’t wait to see the happy snaps from your next themed night.
