Happy Hours return to Leisure Lea Gardens
Happy Hours are back at Leisure Lea Gardens, much to the delight of the residents and staff members. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Happy Hours were suspended and the subsequent gathering restrictions in force in the state meant that they could not recommence for many months.
Last Friday, that all changed and 35 residents gathered in the lounge to enjoy a couple of drinks plus party pies and sausage rolls, which were served individually to comply with COVID requirements. Organised by committee member, Jan Foulcher and her team of helpers, the Happy Hours are held every two weeks and are very popular with residents who love the opportunity to catch up with their neighbours in a relaxed setting. Village Manager, Linda Savige, said Jan had been arranging the Happy Hours for many years. “She does a great job and we are very grateful to her and the many other residents who assist to make our village a happy, lively place.”
