Happy Valley Bowling Club poised for bright future

Living Choice is a staunch supporter of the Happy Valley Bowling Club and attended an important “Stakeholders’ Presentation” at the club on Friday 20th September. Katherine Stacey, Sales Manager for Living Choice’s villages at Woodcroft and Flagstaff Hill, joined State MP Steve Murray, Onkaparinga Mayor Erin Thompson and Councillor Sandra Brown to learn more about the club and its vision “To be the most prominent, desirable and respected club in the Southern Region”.

Sponsorship Officer, Darrell Wise said the purpose of the presentation was to engage with the Council, State Government and key sponsors (including Living Choice) to outline the club’s achievements and plans for the future.

“We are very proud of what we have achieved in recent years, building upon our rich heritage as a club. At the presentation, we spoke about that recent past, the initiatives we have undertaken, our successes on and off the green and our ambitions for the future.

Darrell said some of the achievements including being the Bowls SA 2017/18 Club of the Year, winning 5 Pennants and 2 Runners-up in 2017-18, replacing “A” green, restructuring the Board, renewing the Constitution, setting a Strategic Plan for 2018-2022 and updating policies and by-laws. Future goals in the short to medium term include professional coaching and a youth program, while long-term goals include replacing “B” green and a new state-of-the art bowls facility.
