High honour for Fullarton’s Helen

The Resident Representative Committee has awarded the Living Choice Fullarton Resident Volunteer Award for the March 2021 quarter to Helen Bonet. This award acknowledges the voluntary contribution of the recipient to the life of the village.

Helen Bonet has made an outstanding contribution to our village. She was on the inaugural RRC and evolved into the Events Coordinator. This has included organising Melbourne Cup luncheons, fashion parades, book, jewellery and clothing sales, wine tastings, information sessions on perfume and the Gala Rewards Events. Helen initiated the Crafters group and coordinated the Christmas Fair in 2015 and the many trading tables held since. Money raised has gone to charity and to the purchase of many items in the village, including the Christmas tree which has led to the annual event “Lights Up”. In recent years Helen has established our popular Cabaret event “Saturday Night Live at Fullarton”.

Whilst Helen has had significant support in all of these activities from  many residents, it has been her tremendous drive, hard work and initiative that has brought them to fruition. Congratulations Helen!
