A hole-in-one by long-time member John Dodd was one of the many highlights at the Lower Murray & Hills Veterans’ monthly golf game sponsored by Living Choice at Willunga Golf Club on 21st August.
President, Colin Stevens said the weather was overcast with rain forecast later in the day, however everyone was back in the clubhouse before then.
“We had 65 players, which is little disappointing, but it's that time of year when people travel to warmer states. The lunch offered by the catering crew was excellent and priced to meet our members,” said Colin.
“The course was in good condition, considering all the rain we have had, and the greens were hard to play on, not through speed but through slope and camber. The scores were not wonderful and perhaps reflected that people of our handicap struggle on the harder/longer courses,” he added.
The next game is on 18th September and will be held at Aston Hills in Mount Barker, where Living Choice is building an Over 50s Lifestyle Resort.
