Home care services make progress on Sunshine Coast

Maria Hutchin, Living Choice’s new Home Care Case Manager in Queensland, is not only loving the sea change from a country town to a beachfront apartment at King’s Beach. She is also loving the opportunity to inform Living Choice residents at both Kawana Island and Twin Waters about the home care services they can access through Living Choice Home Care.

Living Choice Home Care services were introduced at Living Choice villages on the Central Coast in late 2017. Since then, the Home Care program has been rolled out at the Sydney, Sunshine Coast and Adelaide villages. The services are available on a user-pays basis or through a Government subsidised Home Care Package.

Maria is well-equipped to assist residents, having worked in aged care for the past 20 years, including 13 years of community care for another provider in Stanthorpe. “I’m greatly enjoying visiting residents and explaining our home care services. I can also assist them to navigate the My Aged Care website to find out if they qualify for a Home Care Package, although our services are also available on a user-pays basis.”
