Home Care services unveiled at Sunshine Coast villages
A personalised home care service that promotes independence and well-being for residents is the aim of the Living Choice Home Care program that is now available at Living Choice Kawana Island and Twin Waters.
To launch the program in QLD, presentations were hosted by Tim Bentley, GM QLD & Central Coast, and Roslyn Mitchelson, Home Care Coordinator QLD, on 25th October and attracted more than 160 residents.
As an Approved Provider, Living Choice Home Care can support residents with a range of services, either through a Government subsidy or on a user-pays basis. The program was launched at Living Choice’s Central Coast villages in late 2017, at its Sydney villages earlier this year and introduced to both Sunshine Coast villages in October. It will be rolled out to the Adelaide villages in the next few weeks.
At the Sunshine Coast presentations, Tim Bentley said that instead of seeking services through outside providers, residents were now able to access a range of Home Care support services through Living Choice Home Care. “Our goal is to provide more hours of care than traditional Home Care Providers and ensure consistency and continuity from initial contact to service delivery.”
Roslyn Mitchelson said services available included domestic assistance, transport, shopping, visits to health practitioners, accompanying residents to social activities, personal care such as bathing, showering and walking a pet, nutrition, hydration, meal preparation and diet, nursing, allied health and therapy services, respite care, assistance with exercise programs and digital technology.
