Inclement weather does not deter Headland golfers

Living Choice is proud to sponsor the Veterans’ Golf Days at Headland Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast. Each month, two residents join the Headland Vets for their game and this month, it was the turn of Kawana Island residents, Stan Foote and Peter Sawyer.

President of the Headland Veterans Golf, Tony Coad, said that due to heavy overnight rain golf carts were restricted to cart paths only. This request reduced the numbers from 131 to a field of 62. After the golf, all players remained to enjoy lunch and the company of fellow golfers.

Prizes were divided into two divisions, one for men and one for women. Congratulations to the prize winners:

Men: Grade A – Stephen Noon. Grade B - Richard Hancock.

Women: Grade A – Sharron Pretorius.

The next Headland Vets game will be played on 26th June.
