Inclement weather? It matters not.
Golf lovers will play golf, despite the weather. And as all Sunshine Coast residents know, you need not cancel an event due to dark clouds.
On Monday 29th November, 60 lady veteran golfers played a Single Stableford event at Headland Golf Club in conditions which were less than ideal. Sponsored by Living Choice, the competition’s ‘shotgun’ start allowed all players to enjoy lunch and presentations in the company of their playing partners.
Resident Susan Lowrie of Kawana Island represented Living Choice and was said to have had a lovely time.
Susan, who played well to be placed 3rd in A Grade, was gracious in her assistance with presenting vouchers to the winners, and they are as follows:
- A Grade Winner – Lisa Ramen.
- B Grade Winner – Susan Briffa.
- C Grade Winner – Trish Arden.
- Overall Winner – Kath Barford.
The success of the event guaranteed a place in next year’s programme.
