
Invitation to attend Glenhaven’s 3rd Annual Writers’ Festival
Members of the Living Choice Glenhaven Writers’ Group invite you to join them for the 3rd Annual Writers’ Festival. The festival is free and includes complimentary Morning Tea and lunch. There will also be lucky door prizes, including a DNA kit donated by Ancestry.com
Where: Living Choice Glenhaven, 15 Old Glenhaven Road, Glenhaven.
When: Friday 1st December 2017.
Time: 9am for 9.30am start – ends at 3pm.

Presenters:
David Hunt: David is a historian, comedy writer and children’s author and was a stand-out speaker at the recent TedXSydney 2017. His latest published work is “True Girt”, a follow-on from his award-winning book “Girt: The Unauthorised History of Australia”, which won the 2014 Indie Award for non-fiction and was shortlisted in both the Premier’s Literary Awards and the Australian Book Industry Awards.
Jan Barkley-Jack: Jan is a historian, author and achaeologist and is well-known in the Hawkesbury District. She is currently writing a PhD on “Change in early colonial rural communities”, which includes a case study of the Hawkesbury Region. Together with her husband, Ian, she recently wrote a comprehensive history of the St Matthews Church, Windsor, to celebrate the church’s 200th Anniversary.

Note: As parking within the villlage is limited, please park in Old Glenhaven Road and our courtesy bus will collect you at the entrance gate.
