Keith Conlon Showband caps exciting cabaret season
The finale of the “Saturday Night Live” cabaret season at Living Choice Fullarton went out with a bang on Saturday 13th November! Co-organiser, Sandra Maynard, said a record-breaking 120 patrons “raised the roof and polished the dance floor” as the Keith Conlon Showband entertained them during the evening’s exciting dinner dance. Guests also enjoyed a wonderful 2-course dinner, prepared by the chefs at the village’s onsite restaurant, Damien on Fisher.
“Adelaide’s favourite chanteuse, Marlene Richards displayed her extensive vocal range, lulling the diners with some quiet jazz early on and finishing the evening with a blast of ABBA,” said Sandra. “The four-piece backing group included Keith Conlon, who made his mark with great drum work, the inimitable jazz pianist Kerin Bailey, who was on fire on keyboards, trombonist/vocalist Bill Polain and the inimitable Peter Dowdall on double bass.”
Sandra said everyone wanted more and that there would more to come in the 2022 season. Watch this space!
