Leisure Lea Gardens gets into the Christmas spirit

It’s the season for giving and at Leisure Lea Gardens there has been plenty of goodwill and happy laughter in the last week. On Thursday 10th December, the village held its first Open House in many months and although the number of visitors was less than normal, sales consultant Juliet Morrell said everyone enjoyed the day and the opportunity to speak to residents.

“The visitors were very impressed with the quality of our homes and as always, the Resident Ambassadors were very welcoming, serving a Christmas-themed Morning Tea and talking to them about life in the village. I think they were also impressed to hear about the level of support from management during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we could not accommodate residents in the dining-room for a while, our manager Linda Savige organised a roster of staff members to deliver freshly cooked meals to residents’ homes and this was very much appreciated.”

To thank staff members for their extra efforts during a difficult 2020, everyone received either a leg of ham or a fruit hamper from Living Choice to enjoy during the festive season.

Another Open House is planned in February – please keep an eye on the Events page on our website to find out the details. The village is also open daily for inspection – phone (02) 8878 4903 to book.
