Living Choice and EDP Hotels build team-work amongst the vineyards
There’s nothing quite like sharing a wine barrel with a work colleague while stomping on grapes to promote team building! That is what Living Choice and EDP Hotels’ staff members experienced when they teamed up for a “Corporate Inspiration & Wine Immersion Day” hosted by Fox Creek Wines and Youth Opportunities on Friday 28th February.
The staff members were encouraged to bring an “open mind” and enjoy activities that would challenge them but also draw on their strengths. The goal was to educate and inspire them in a fun and unique way and that goal was certainly achieved, with many describing it as a very positive experience afterwards.
Those who attended enjoyed a full wine maker’s experience, from grape picking and crushing to wine tasting and lunch in the picturesque Fox Creek Wines’ vineyards. They also participated in theory sessions conducted by Youth Opportunities, learning about the psychology behind their programs and how they can be applied in the workplace environment. Team building, communication, motivation, problem-solving, personal leadership and relationships were all covered.
Youth Opportunities also presented a beautifully compiled book ‘A million thanks’ to Living Choice and EDP Hotels’ directors, Graham Hobbs and Ian Tregoning, to acknowledge their donation of over $1-million over the last decade. The book captured stories and images throughout the partnership and reinforced the impact their donations have made on the organisation.
