Living Choice bowlers support annual intervillage challenge
The Mooloolaba Bowls Club Village Challenge Cup was held at Mooloolaba Bowls Club on Wednesday 19th April, with Living Choice villages at Kawana Island and Twin Waters each entering three teams - all sponsored by Living Choice.
The event attracted 84 bowlers from 12 different retirement and lifestyle villages from across the Sunshine Coast, playing two games of 12 ends with teams of three bowling two bowls each per end.
Although the competition was tough, Kawana Island’s Team 1, comprising Bob Johnson, Peter Legenberg and Hazel Mclean, played consistently, earning fourth place overall.
Maureen Rutschack playing in the Twin Waters team said, “Despite not taking out any prizes we all had a good day. Each team won a game and lost one. It was good to have some new faces enjoying the experience”.
The bowlers were all impressed by the venue and the hospitality shown by Mooloolaba Bowls Club and appreciated the opportunity to interact with like-minded retirees from other coastal villages.
