Living Choice Flagstaff Hill Construction Nov Update

What a busy time it has been at Living Choice Flagstaff Hill, with new residents being welcomed, construction of the villas ramping up and good progress being made with The Range Apartments.  

 Rob Grech, who is overseeing the construction of the villas, said that with the Christmas break fast approaching the site resembled “Santa’s workshop” with plenty of trades people and activity taking place. 

 “The timber framework has been completed on both the Birkdale and Troon designs with roof cover to be completed by the Christmas break. Footings on the following “4-packs” are in progress and the framework will arrive late January. Muirfield Villas 31 and 32 have brickwork in progress, whilst Villas 34 and 33 are nearing completion. 

 “The much-anticipated Birkdale Sales display Villa 7, will be open for inspection early in the new year.” 

 Rob said the village recently welcomed new residents to Villas 16 and 17 (Troon designs) and Villas 35 and 13M (Muirfield designs). New residents are also scheduled to move into Villa 34 on 20th December. 

 “The Living Choice community is growing dramatically and the 2021 Christmas festivities will be enjoyed by 13 families celebrating at Living Choice Flagstaff Hill. Over the next five weeks, the Construction team elves at Flagstaff Hill will continue to build a magical wonderland of a retirement village for all to enjoy,” he added. 

 Visitors to the village would also have noticed the rapid progress being made on the first block of apartments – The Range – comprising 17 apartments. Michael De Re, who is in charge of the apartments’ construction, said the ground floor suspended slab had been poured, the basement walls had been tanked and backfilled, and the perimeter scaffolding to level 1 had been installed. 

 “The ground floor to level 1 structural walls have been stood and formwork to the level 1 suspended slab is about to commence.” 

 The Construction teams will take a break from 22nd December and will return for a new year of building on 10th January 2022. They wish everyone a “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays”.
