Living Choice Galston – Construction Update

What a busy month July has been for the construction team at Living Choice Galston. The good news is that a lot of progress has been made with the preparation of the site, in readiness for the pouring of the first villa slabs in the next six to eight weeks.

“The dam has now been emptied which has allowed us to start with the backfilling works which commenced on 17th July,” said Site Manager, Scott Henry.

“The construction of retaining walls has commenced on the Western side of the site and the villa pads will be trimmed and prepared for handover in the coming days on the Northern boundary of the site.

“Service mains to the north of the village are 75 percent completed. This includes fire, water, stormwater, sewer, electrical and communications. The individual villa retaining walls are completed at Villas 27 to 35,” he added.

Scott said that in August, work would commence on the village entry. The Western boundary retaining walls will be completed and building pads 23 – 26 should be handed over.

“The stormwater drainage at entry to village will also be completed and the villa retaining walls at Villas 20 – 26 will commence.”
