Living Choice Mount Barker
April Construction Update

Since holding the first Information Sessions in February this year, much work has been going on behind the scenes in preparation for the construction of Living Choice Mount Barker, a premium lifestyle resort designed for Over 50s.

Overseeing the project is Rob Grech (pictured above) who has plenty of experience, having been with Living Choice for the past eight years. Rob and his team have built 120 new homes and completed approximately 50 refurbished homes at Living Choice Woodcroft. At Living Choice Fullarton, he has refurbished more than 30 apartments and, most recently, he supervised the construction of 42 new villas at Living Choice Flagstaff Hill.

Over the past month, excess spoil from the Flagstaff Hill site has been transported to the Mount Barker site for use in the civil works.

Rob says the start of the Mount Barker project has been challenging with some delays. “Last week we started site works on our display home and sales office at Lot 440, Greenheart Circuit. We will be pouring the concrete in late April and I have predicted a 24-week build time once the concrete is poured.

“Once approval for civil works for the rest of the site has been given, anticipated to be four to six weeks, it will take several months for the house slabs to be poured due to the excessive retaining walls and infrastructure needed.

“Hopefully, next month our construction update will be full of good news and we will have a better idea of timelines. We are working hard to ensure once the approval is given, it will be all systems go,” he added.

Living Choice Mount Barker will be built over three stages and Stage 1 will comprise 24 two-bedroom and 78 three-bedroom homes. The plans are available here
