Eighty golfers from 13 clubs took part in the Living Choice Mount Barker 4 Ball Best Ball event at Aston Hills Golf Club on Sunday 27th August. In golf parlance, this means the best Stableford score counts on each hole towards the pair’s score.
The fully booked event doubled as an International Pairs qualifier with the winning Men's Pair and winning Mixed Pair invited to the National Final on the Gold Coast in October. The category winners of the National Final will win an all-expenses paid trip to the World Final in Portugal in November.
Sadly, Living Choice representatives, Rick O’Donnell and Wendy Butler, won’t be making the trip to the Gold Coast. “They said they did not play very well, but they did have a lot of fun!” said Regional Manager, Katherine Stacey.
Katherine and Living Choice colleague, Sue Lock, spent the day at the golf club, promoting Living Choice Mount Barker, an exciting new Over 50s Lifestyle Resort located between Paech Road and Evergreen Drive.
They gave each player a bag containing a golf towel, ball, pen, notepad, tees and the Design Collection brochure featuring all the home designs, site plan and country club plan. Katherine said the bags were well-received and there was a lot of interest in the development which is currently under construction.
Golfers also received lunch packs before they teed off and enjoyed live music, followed by hot soup afterwards. Congratulations to the winners:
Men’s Pair – Matthew Patton & Dan Porter with a combined 4BBB score of 46pts.
Mixed Pairs – Hayley Hunt & David Carney with a combined 4BBB score of 43pts.
Special mention to James Day who had 40pts individually.
