Living Choice Sunshine Coast bowlers on a roll
The inaugural Mooloolaba Bowls Club Village Challenge Cup was held on 21st April at Mooloolaba Bowls Club, with Living Choice villages at Kawana Island and Twin Waters each entering three teams – all sponsored by Living Choice.
The event attracted 84 bowlers from 10 different retirement and lifestyle villages from across the Sunshine Coast, playing two games of 14 ends with teams of three bowling two bowls each per end.
Although the competition was tough, Living Choice Kawana Island (Team 2) played consistently earning third place overall with Val Beckman as Lead, Stan Foote as 2nd and Doug as Skip.
However, Twin Waters was not to outdone with one of their teams winning Round 2 due to the skilful bowling of Graham Milliken, Ute Fialla and Maureen Rutschack.
The bowlers were all impressed by the venue and the hospitality shown by Mooloolaba Bowls Club and appreciated the opportunity to interact with like-minded retirees from other coastal villages.
