For the past 25 years, Dorothy and Nick Willoughby and their team at Dorsal Media have been organising expos on retirement village and resort living at various venues in four states. Living Choice has always been a staunch supporter of the expos and sent a big team to the most recent expo – the Retirement Villages & Resorts Expo held at Castle Hill RSL Club on 23rd and 24th July.
Thirteen operators were represented at 17 stands, with Living Choice having three stands in a prime position at the entrance to the expo. Regional Manager, Gail Eyres, attended with her team comprising Carlie Gowenlock (Glenhaven and Galston), Anna Ginters, Linda Savige and Bianca Gordon (Leisure Lea Gardens) and Dave Grassby and Alicia Dougherty (Alloura Waters, Broadwater Court and Deepwater Court). Living Choice’s Group GM, Jason Sack, is a big fan of the expos and flew in from Adelaide to join them.
Dorothy had high praise for the Living Choice team. “They answered lots of questions and gave visitors lots of valuable information. They were very professional and did not put any pressure on anyone.”
Dorothy said the expos were a fantastic way to start gathering information. “Imagine the time it would take to visit the villages of 13 different operators. By visiting the expo, they can do it all in one day, go home and do their reading, make a shortlist and then visit the village they’re interested in, or attend an open day.”
More than 640 people visited the expo over the two days and Gail said there was strong interest in some of the Living Choice villages, particularly Galston and Glenhaven which are located in the Hills Shire, and Leisure Lea Gardens in Marsfield.
The Leisure Lea Gardens’ team also took the opportunity to hand out invitations to their Open Day on 10th August – see Downsizing made simple Open Day + Guest speaker – Living Choice Retirement Villages
The next Retirement Villages & Resorts Expo that will be attended by the Living Choice team is at Tumbi Umbi on the Central Coast on 27th and 28th August. Once again, it will be a wonderful opportunity to promote the Living Choice villages at Davistown, Kincumber and Woy Woy.
