Living Choice Wellness Centres grow in popularity

The Living Choice Wellness Centres in SA are growing rapidly, thanks to the efforts of the enthusiastic SA Wellness Coordinator, Sarah Fox.

Sarah has established the Wellness Centres at Living Choice’s villages at Woodcroft, Fullarton and Flagstaff Hill and they’re open to members of the public too, who are embracing the many services offered.

Sarah says the Wellness Centres have grown to a team of 16 practitioners and instructors offering clinics and classes from Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Hearing Health, Reflexology, Massage and Dental to Strength for Life, Chair Yoga, Aquarobics and Tai Chi.

“A recent survey showed that people living in retirement villages are five times more likely to participate in social activities, report four times better quality of life and a 100% increase in cognitive function. This makes it a fantastic lifestyle choice. The availability of wellness services onsite encourages residents to take steps to improve their overall health and wellness too,” says Sarah.

“Having fun, keeping well and feeling part of something is a common theme for villagers and the wellness team alike. If you do need services, these are also available on site - help with cleaning, making meals, etc which our Home Carers will be able to help you with. The Wellness Centres and the Villages are a perfect match with common bonds and values.”
