Making the most of living in Unley

The City of Unley chose Living Choice Fullarton to host an information session last week to showcase the many services, activities, events and programs available in Unley. Attended by Unley residents, including many Living Choice residents, the council staff and elected members presented information on a wide range of services and programs and there was something of interest for everyone.

Guests were welcomed by Mayor Lachlan Clyne who gave a brief overview of the council’s “Age Friendly Strategy” before handing over to seven speakers who outlined the many exciting council activities. Information included volunteering opportunities, home support services, arts, recreational and cultural pursuits, programs and activities run by the community centres, libraries and the swimming centre, as well as many upcoming local events.

Village manager, Tracy Schirmer, also gave a brief overview of the village and the craft group took the opportunity to display the beautiful items they have made for their Easter Trading Table which is open until this Thursday.

Guests also enjoyed refreshments and canapes made by our on-site restaurant, Damien on Fisher while Patsy Trevor entertained on the piano.

Living Choice was very proud to host the Unley Council Information Session and applauds the council for its initiative.
