Melbourne Cup celebrated in style at Fullarton

Melbourne Cup day was celebrated in style at Living Choice Fullarton where Helen Bonet and her team pulled out all the stops to ensure an enjoyable day. The residents and their guests really dazzled in their race day outfits and the chefs at Damien on Fisher Restaurant excelled with the delicious food.
Helen said many people had helped with the organisation, including Peter Radovic, Michael Gasking and their band of merry men who did a grand job on the Sweeps table, Denis Woolford for looking after the sound and village manager, Brian Lynch for his time on the microphone. “The waiting staff were terrific too,” she added.

The prizes were donated by Mark Cocking, Gill Miller, Sandra Maynard and several other residents. Congratulations to all the winners:
Best Hat - Meredith, a visitor to the village;
Best Outfit - Margaret Simpson and Bette Hall (a prize for each);
Best Dressed Couple - Jean Muggridge and Doug Morton.
