Milestone celebrations for four Glenhaven residents
AFTER a lifetime of love and making memories, Living Choice Glenhaven couple, Don and Barbara Hazeltine had to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in a much quieter way than planned due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, their daughter and granddaughter made sure their special day was not forgotten, quietly putting up a 60th wedding anniversary display outside their home on 14th May.
They were not the only ones to have something to celebrate on that day – fellow resident, Zofia Kingsley turned 90 and enjoyed a lovely lunch with her daughter. She also received numerous birthday wishes and flowers from her many friends in the village.
Another much-loved resident, Joyce Scott, turned 90 in April. Joyce, who is wheelchair-bound, lives independently and looks after her own front garden. She won an award in the Hills Shire Garden Awards last year. Regional Manager, Gail Eyres, said Joyce was very well respected and loved by her supportive neighbours.
Happy anniversary and birthday wishes to you all!
