Milliners

Milliners working their magic at Alloura Waters

There is a group of ladies at Living Choice Alloura Waters bringing some much-needed cheer to cancer patients on the Central Coast.

Sheila, Paddy, Jan, Margaret, Clair, Betty and Leone are ‘the Alloura Waters Mad Hatters’ group and they are a very studious bunch of milliners. They love being back at work every Monday morning making hats for the Cancer Council.

Despite the pandemic and lockdowns, they managed to keep producing hats in their own homes – Cancer doesn’t stop because of COVID!

IMG 7127 They were even more happy on Monday, 21st March when the Cancer Council’s local area Community Program Manager, Twynette Dickson, paid them a visit. Twynette thanked the group for their productivity during these difficult times and promised to give them her ongoing support.

The Alloura Waters Mad Hatters would like to invite those who have spare time on Monday mornings to please join them for a coffee and chat and, if you can, help continue making cancer patients smile with their “Sexy Hats”.
