Mitcham Orchestra delights Fullarton

Mitcham Orchestra delights at Fullarton

For the past 31 years, the Mitcham Orchestra (previously known as the Bicentenary Seniors Symphony Orchestra and then the Adelaide Metropolitan Orchestra), has delighted audiences throughout Adelaide. On Wednesday evening this week, the orchestra, directed by Tully Brookes, descended on Living Choice Fullarton to entertain residents and their friends with a selection of light classical music.

The orchestra comprises around 36 musicians who meet at a hall in Richmond Road, Westbourne Park to rehearse. The concert was arranged by Fullarton resident, Helen Hammond, an ardent music fan who arranges music recitals at the village every Wednesday at 5pm with the support of fellow residents.  The next musical recital will be on Wednesday 23rd October and will feature Jesse Cooper who specialises in modern, light classical music. It will be the perfect time to sit back with a glass of wine and perhaps stay for dinner at Damien on Fisher Restaurant afterwards. All are welcome.
