New aerial photos show progress at
Living Choice Galston

Since the Ground-Breaking Ceremony was held for Living Choice Galston in November 2022, considerable earthworks have taken place at the village with the site now fully cleared.

The clearing was conducted in accordance with the approved Tree Location and Tree Preservation Plan issued by the Hornsby Council. Of the trees removed, five were native trees and 43 were introduced species. According to the approved Landscaping Plan, when complete, Living Choice Galston will have 325 native trees, 2,197 shrubs and 1,903 ground covers.

Site Supervisor, Scott Henry, said recent wet weather had unfortunately slowed civil progress, however the construction of the perimeter retaining walls and fencing was well underway. Construction of the swales at the western and southern boundaries of the site had also started.

“Over the next four weeks, the perimeter retaining walls and fencing will be completed and the swales to southern and western boundaries will also be completed. We are also hoping that cutting and filling of the site can get underway,” he added.

Regional Manager, Gail Eyres, said the onsite sales office had been completed and would open as soon as the first house slab was poured. “We are hoping this will be in the second half of May, however construction progress is very dependent on the weather and the persistent rain is making it difficult to set a date. We will keep all those on our database informed and will invite those who have expressed an interest to attend the sales office opening,” she said.

Living Choice Galston will comprise 40 spacious villas, 48 premium apartments and a magnificent two-storey leisure centre offering numerous facilities. There will also be a putting green, bocce court, terrace garden and BBQ area.
