NSW residents skip to the long-awaited reopening of hair salons
The first stage of the NSW Roadmap commenced on 11th October and residents and staff alike have embraced the relaxation of restrictions. The onsite hair salons at Living Choice’s NSW villages have been especially busy!
Living Choice Broadwater Court Administrator, Toni Goddard, welcomed the easing and reported that hairdresser, Louise Shannon, was delighted to reopen her hair salon at the village. Louise has been the hairdresser at Broadwater Court for 13 years and the last 100+ day lockdown had been the longest period of time she hasn’t worked.
Louise said, “It’s wonderful to see my clients again – to give them their long-awaited cut, colour, sets and perms”.
Booked solid from 8am – 5pm, a steady stream of residents with shoulder length hair virtually skipped down the path to the salon.
Eager resident, Lynne Wood from Frost Estate, arrived at 8.30am and said, “I feel like a new woman even sitting in this chair! Apart from getting my hair done it’s great to have a great conversation with Louise”.
Let’s hope Stage 2 of the Roadmap is not too far off!
