Qld Police Pipes and Drums visit residents

Happy First Day of summer and what better way to kick this and the lead-up to the festive season off than with a wonderful performance from the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums Band.  A talented group of seven servicemen arrived in kilts to play the bagpipes and drums on Friday 1st of December at Living Choice Twin Waters.

It was also a great opportunity to bring both Living Choice Sunshine Coast Villages together.

The band played several sets which had the residents enjoying well-known songs, - we even had a few toe-tapping and humming the words to the song throughout the performance.

QPP&D was originally formed by a keen and committed group of police officers who had sought since 1956 to establish a Pipe Band to both represent the QPS and compete in pipe band contests.

During intermission, the band's cybercrime expert used the opportunity to talk about how serious scams are at the moment - whether it be by someone pretending to be a family member or praying on innocent people looking for love from an internet dating site, we must remain vigilant at all times when using our electronic devices.

With a heartfelt thank you to Living Choice Twin Waters A-team, who assisted with tea and coffee and a sausage sizzle afterward.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the talented men from Qld Police, Pipes and Drums band.
