Record field for Maroochy River Ladies’ Open Day

A record 191 women golfers from all corners of Queensland took part in the Living Choice sponsored Maroochy River Ladies’ Open Day on 4th June with the excellent course and weather conditions resulting in some great scores.

Several residents from Living Choice’s villages at Twin Waters and Kawana Island are members of Maroochy River Golf Club and Living Choice has been a sponsor of the popular event for several years. This year, Living Choice also took the opportunity to showcase its newest retirement community, Living Choice Parkwood, which will offer apartments overlooking the fairways at Parkwood Golf Club on the Gold Coast.

Living Choice Twin Waters residents, Janice Olley and Maree Christensen, handed out the many prizes at the prizegiving which included 32 prizes for the top gross and nett scores in each division and 8 Nearest the Pin prizes. A further 32 golfers received balls in the Ball Rundown.

There was keen interest in the free lucky draw to win a Living Choice hamper, which was won by Therese Stanton of Twin Waters and collected on her behalf by Carmel Luxton.
