Records tumble at Parkwood Vets Golf
The stunning clear sky and gentle breeze afforded a great field of 127 golfers for the Parkwood Seniors and Veterans Golf Club’s monthly golf day, sponsored by Living Choice.
Held on Thursday 26th August, the players entered the field with the camaraderie and friendly competitive spirit running at an all-time high.
The competition was an Irish Team Stableford, best 3 of 4 and the winners, with a great score of 129 points, were Joe Piovesan, Brian Barnes, Ken Torrington and John Roberts. A new record was set for the number of Hole-In-Ones scored during the month. Congratulations to Gail Flynn, Lou Ceretto, Peter Greene and Brian Haggis.
Lunch was held in the Grand View room at the Parkwood Club, followed by a presentation to club members regarding Living Choice Parkwood’s Referral and Reward program and the anticipated building timeline.
The raffle was well-supported and over $700 was collected from members, with major prizes of a new golf bag and gift vouchers from Living Choice, making the day extremely successful.
The committee is currently planning the major end of year Christmas event that will be sponsored by Living Choice Parkwood.
Next month’s event is scheduled for 28th September 2021.
