Referral pays off for long-time friends
Lady luck was smiling on Peggy Considine of Christies Beach when she toured Living Choice Woodcroft at the Open Day to celebrate the opening of the leisure centre. She fell in love with one of the new Ambassador villas, deposited on it the next day (her birthday) and was also the winner of a $1,500 travel voucher for being referred by her friend of 47 years, Woodcroft resident Pat Wilson. To add to the excitement, Pat also won a $1,500 travel voucher for the referral.
Pat first met Peggy through a mutual friend that Pat had met on a ship bound for Australia from England. They each had three children and remained firm friends. Now Peggy will be joining Pat at the village where they are set to continue their friendship for many years to come. Peggy lost her husband two years ago and Pat said she had no hesitation in encouraging her friend to tour the village.
“It was meant to be and I’m so happy I will be joining the village community and will be close to my friend,” Peggy said. “I’ve already been to functions at the village and have met many residents. They all seem to be so happy and have been very kind,” she added.
Peggy loves to swim and said she was looking forward to using the indoor heated pool in the leisure centre. She also loves the fact that Woolworths is next door to the village. “They even deliver to your home if you place your order before 9am,” she added.
While Pat has not yet decided how she will spend her travel voucher, Peggy and her three daughters are planning a “girls weekend’ in Sydney where they plan to do some sightseeing and enjoy a harbour cruise.
