KI Anzac Day 2020

Residents “Light Up The Dawn” at Kawana Island

Many Living Choice Kawana Island residents heeded the call to “Light Up The Dawn” on ANZAC Day, standing on their apartment balconies or at the end of their villa driveways, holding candles.

Poppies lined the roadway and flags were draped over balconies as residents observed a minute’s silence and listened to The Last Post on the radio or TV. Residents were rewarded with a magnificent sunrise.

Resident and Vietnam Veteran, Jake Jacobsen, who encouraged all Living Choice residents to take part in the commemoration, said it was pleasing to see how many people had taken part.

Thank-you to Jake’s wife, Carroll, Maree Sutton and Victoria Hoggan for sending the photographs.
