Residents Shine at Twin Waters Open Day

One of the most rewarding aspects of working in sales and marketing at Living Choice is being able to rely on residents to assist at marketing events. So when Living Choice Twin Waters sales consultant, Suzi Morland, put out the call for helpers at the village’s Open Day, she was delighted with the response. In fact, there were probably more helpers than visitors!

From greeting visitors at the welcome desk to serving Morning Tea and showing clients around the village’s extensive facilities and displays, the residents excelled. Residents also took time to chat to visitors one-on-one about life at the village. Clients Ted and Wilhemina, who are avid cat-lovers, were very happy to meet resident Sandy Ferguson, whose cat has resided happily at the village for many years.

Niki Sills, Client Services Officer for Estia Health Twin Waters, had an information table on the co-located Aged Care Residence and Roslyn Mitchelson, Living Choice Home Care Co-ordinator QLD, provided information on home care services now available at the village.

Some of the male visitors were also very interested to see the “Living Choice Firebug” being constructed in the woodwork room. The Firebug, a 2.4m sailing dinghy, will be launched at the village’s next Open Day and Hobbies’ Fair on Saturday 22nd June. This promises to be a fantastic event and no doubt, our residents will be rolling out the red carpet once again!
