Roaring 20’s returns to
Alloura Waters

With a break between social events over winter, the Living Choice Alloura Waters Social Committee and band members arranged a fabulous return with a Gatsby Dinner Dance for the residents on 23rd September.

With lots of boa feathers on the arms of the ladies and men dressing in suits, bowties and suspenders, residents had a great time dressing to the theme of the night.

On arrival, residents were greeted with a glass of bubbly and were shown to their styled tables. With all the work the social club put in, the Community Centre was converted into the Roaring 20’s and looked fabulous. Outside caterers supplied a delicious meal of spit roast meats and seasonal vegetables, followed by a choice of desserts.

Merriment and good conversation flowed over the night and a special treat was also the Gin and Tonic station set up in addition to the bar.

The Alloura Waters in-house band played a great set of music to entertain and had residents up and dancing. This lively village knows how to have a good time and it was reported that the Charleston was a favourite dance of the night.
