When Julie Matten, daughter of Living Choice Woodcroft resident, Yvonne McDonald, returns from her caravanning holiday this week, she will receive a huge surprise – a $5,000 UChoose Gift Card for referring her mum to the village!
Julie’s name was drawn at the annual SA Gala Reward Event, held at Living Choice Fullarton on 23rd September, and Yvonne was ecstatic to hear her daughter had won. “Unfortunately, I could not attend, due to long-standing medical appointments, but I’m so happy she has won!”
Early this year, Yvonne decided the time was right to move into a retirement village and asked her daughter to do some research online. On their first visit to Woodcroft, Sales Manager Katherine Stacey showed them an apartment and Yvonne declared “This is for me”.
Due to a snap lockdown, the Gala Reward Event was postponed from July to September, but it was certainly worth the wait for the many referrers, those they referred and the Resident Ambassadors who attended from Fullarton, Woodcroft and Flagstaff Hill.
Fullarton ambassadors, Helen Bonet and Chris Murray, with help from members of the Craft Group, transformed the auditorium into an elegant emporium, decorated in champagne and rose gold colours. The aroma of fresh flowers filled the room, with beautiful arrangements on each table and around the room. The `piece de resistance’ was the shimmering gold backdrop on the stage, beautifully framed by a giant vase of flowers.
Living Choice director, Ian Tregoning, gave a short presentation, thanking everyone for their referrals as well as the ambassadors for their support over the years. Then it was time to tuck into delicious canapes and petit fours, prepared by Damien on Fisher Restaurant, and enjoy the music by renowned jazz pianist, Kerin Bailey and songstress, Lizzie.
