Sponsors feel the love at Appreciation Days
Most community clubs rely heavily on sponsorship from a wide variety of businesses to hold events for the benefit of their members. Living Choice is a long-time sponsor of golf, bowls and tennis clubs, including Headland Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast and Flagstaff Hill Golf Club in Adelaide, where it is building a golf course retirement village.
Coincidentally, both clubs held Sponsor Appreciation Days on Friday 3rd March, to thank sponsors for their support. Both events were very successful and loads of fun!
At the Flagstaff Hill Sponsors’ Appreciation Day, Living Choice staff members Sue Lock and Stuart Sharplin teamed up with Adrian Maple and Jarrod Hartgen from All Ova Plumbing for a fun afternoon of golf, followed by drinks and a BBQ prepared by the Lions’ famous BBQ team.
The winners were James Leo, Amy Rozek, Leigh Schrier and Greg Menzel, followed by Dominic Tourneur, Lachlan Mosely, Peter Hill and Ryan Scovell.
At Headland Golf Club, sponsors took part in a 2-Person Ambrose competition, with Linda and Allen Hooper representing the Living Choice team. Included in their 4 Ball was Tony Coad and Bruce Reid of the Headland Veterans’ Association, which Living Choice has supported for the past 20 years.
Sixty players took part with Jamie Hill and Don Harris taking top honours with 28.5 nett, closely followed by Earl Hicks and Mick Garske on 28.75. After the game, 20 more sponsors joined the golfers for drinks and canapes at the Garden Bar with talented singer and guitarist, Amanda Jensen providing the entertainment.
