Sunday is `Funday’ at Woodcroft
`Sunday Funday’ was held at Living Choice Woodcroft on 19th February with the village’s own `Elderly Brothers’ taking to the stage to entertain residents and guests.
“It was a great afternoon,” reported Bernadette Chetcuti, who kindly took the photos. “We paid tribute to one of our favourite residents, the late Bob Griffiths, who helped Rob Brooks and Roger Trevor start up the group `The Elderly Brothers’.
“Bob entertained us at many functions with his beautiful voice so for the first half-hour of Sunday Funday we listened to Bob’s favourite songs. RIP Bob - gone but not forgotten.”
Bernadette said for the next half-hour the band paid tribute to the legendary Burt Bacharach, composer songwriter and pianist, who passed away recently.
“After that, we were entertained by the new `The Elderly’, comprising a mixture of nine men and two women. Thanks to Rob and The Elderly for a relaxing afternoon with great music!”
