Surprises galore at Sydney’s Gala Reward Event
A chance meeting on a Trafalgar Holidays Tour in Europe not only led to a 13-year friendship, but the opportunity to win a UChoose Gift Card at the annual Sydney Gala Reward Event held at Living Choice Glenhaven on 24th August.
Angelo and Grace Spina were on a tour in Italy when they happened to sit next to another couple on the tour, Albert and Connie Bosco. They discovered that not only were they all from Australia but that they lived three doors away from each other in Castle Hill!
It was the beginning of a 13-year friendship which led to Angelo and Grace referring their friends to Living Choice Glenhaven. Albert and Connie moved into lucky Villa 88 on 25th November 2022 which meant that Angelo and Grace qualified for the 2022-2023 Referral draw to win a $5,000 UChoose Gift Card.
The last two entrants in the elimination draw were Angelo and Grace, and Kat Wilkie (not present), who had referred John Wilkie to Leisure Lea Gardens. Asked by Group GM, Jason Sack, if they wanted to share the first and second prizes – a total of $5,200 - Angelo agreed with each winner taking home $2,600. Not surprisingly, Angelo and Grace will be taking their good friends for a celebratory dinner.
This year, there was a record attendance of 81 people at the Sydney Gala Reward Event, including referrers and those they had referred to Glenhaven and Leisure Lea Gardens, plus the Resident Ambassadors at each village.
The Glenhaven Ambassadors worked closely with the sales and village team to organise a spectacular event, complete with gorgeous décor, fabulous food, an abundance of wine, bubbly and beer, and great entertainment by the popular Highly Strung Trio.
It was a fun-filled afternoon and a great way to recognise and reward all those who contributed to the referral rate of 58 percent achieved in the 2022-2023 financial year.
