Take a bow, Leisure Lea Gardens’ staff members

We receive many lovely testimonials from family members of residents at Leisure Lea Gardens and, during these difficult times, they really lift the spirits of our staff members. Here is one we received from Susan Burgis this week:

“As you are aware, my parents, Clive and Jean Pringle, moved to Leisure Lea Gardens, Marsfield from the Central Coast 12 months ago. I am thankful to my daughter, Chelsea Gordon, who found your village and orchestrated the move. The settling-in period and subsequent interest and care for my parents has been outstanding. I cannot thank you and your staff enough.

“All of your staff are joyful and they go the extra mile in so many ways. I hear about Juliet, Linda, Stephen, Joel, Robert, Ramani, Wendy, Neil and Claude regularly. The visits to Dr Bob are always positive, and his personal care and understanding of my parents' health is evident. The nurses have also been very supportive, diligently visiting my parents to check on their health at various times over the year.

“The meals are varied and delicious and the option of ordering meals is a great support to my Mum. The staff have even helped my highly motivated 87-year-old father to continue his hobby of potting plants. Dad also enjoys the gym and is a regular on the well-kept equipment. They have enjoyed the Friday Happy Hour and the many entertaining shows that have been put on during the year.

“They have also been thankful to be able to attend the monthly Church Service and Mum has made some new friends to link with at the Thursday Craft Afternoons. Walks around the block have been conducted during COVID restrictions and this has also been positive for Mum. The beautifully well-kept gardens are always a joy, and Mum and Dad and their visitors enjoy walking through the different flowers as the seasons change.
