Talented Ted shares love of art at Alloura Waters

Living Choice Alloura Waters resident Ted Castle is a man of many talents.

At a recent Western event held in the community centre, Ted was given the challenge of painting a Western picture in 15 minutes. Challenge accepted and he completed the task in 10 minutes, nursing a previous injury to his hand as well.

It was an amazing effort from Ted and his talent is well-admired and appreciated in the village. Ted is the man behind all the artwork used for the event nights and for the backdrops used by the village band.

Ted also runs art classes in the village. The classes started in January 2023 and are very popular with the residents. Ted explained that he loves to run these classes and it’s a way of bringing residents together over art. “Some residents are wonderful artists who only recently discovered that they have this hidden talent,” he said.

Drawing classes are held in the community centre every Friday -  10 to 12 noon.
