“The Champagne Sheila’s” walk for Gold!
The annual Sunday Mail City to Bay Fun Run / Walk took place on Sunday 16th September and three energetic Living Choice Fullarton residents were among the 26,000 who took part. The course from Adelaide to Glenelg Bay asks participants to nominate any charity and collect sponsors for a 3,6,12 or 21.1km (half marathon) run or walk.
Fullarton residents Sandra Maynard, Libby Ratcliff and Gill Miller entered the 6km section and enjoyed a beautiful day. “The Champagne Sheila’s”, as they cheekily called themselves, set out on their walk determined to reach their pot of gold – a cold glass of bubbly to celebrate at the end.
Sandra said “we earned our pot of gold and are planning to do it bigger and better next year”. Sandra, Libby and Gill are looking to recruit more residents to “The Living Choice Champagne Sheila’s” for 2019 so they can fundraise for their nominated charity Orange Sky Laundry. Well done ladies.
