The Gift of Giving

The beginning of the African proverb, “It takes a village”, has true meaning at Living Choice Twin Waters.

Long-time residents Ian and Maree Lawson have been busy collecting, sorting and boxing donations received from generous residents in the village and the Twin Waters Pharmacy.

The donations have been given to local charity organisation, The Shack Community Centre in Nambour, which provides for the needs and concerns of a diverse community.

Ian said the donations were in the form of cash, cheques and supermarket vouchers, as well as food. “With a tally of $3,975 raised, this will go a long way to help the organisation at this time of year,” said Ian.

“It will also provide some support and comfort to the ever-increasing number of homeless men, women and children, many of whom are currently living in vehicles,” he added.

Well done to the residents and Jodie and Ben from Twin Waters Pharmacy. An amazing effort and so very generous.
