The Happy Crafters get creative at Fullarton

On 1st February, after a well-earned break, the Craft Group at Living Choice Fullarton reconvened for a new year of crafting. Known as the “Happy Crafters”, they already have a full year of events planned and have started creating beautiful items for their Easter Table, which will be open two weeks before Easter.

The Craft Tables are open to residents, their families and members of the public. They are also popular with the many people who visit the café and restaurant each day, as well as the Wellness Centre.

“At our Easter Table there will be lots of chocolate in many different containers – batman mugs for boys, pink rabbits for girls and luscious chocolates and sweets in baskets for adults,” said Craft Group convenor, Helen Bonet.

“We also have an assortment of Easter cards, all handmade by our happy group. We sold 240 Christmas cards last year and regularly sell 50 or so regular cards every month.

“This year we have an expert in Terrariums coming to show us how to make our own. We will have one each to take away. For Anzac Day, we will make poppies to sell, and a “Take Home Fresh Flowers Day” is planned for May.

“It may be a small group here at Fullarton, but we certainly produce some lovely products during each year and have lots of fun along the way,” she added.
