The Woodcroft Easter Bunny Crew bring joy to residents

Easter came early to Living Choice Woodcroft on Thursday 2nd April when not just one Easter bunny, but seven enthusiastic bunnies, distributed chocolate eggs to every resident in the village.

The residents were tipped off on Tuesday and many were waiting on their front porches or balconies for the staff team, led by village manager, Gail Pounsett to arrive. They certainly arrived in style with maintenance officer Stuart leading the way in the sales buggy, the Easter Bunny Hop Fun Song blaring through a loudhailer and Kathy, Gail, Katerina, Mel, Brooke and Nathaniel (all dressed in bunny attire) following behind with baskets of chocolates.

Gail said the staff members were committed to brightening the lives of the residents in these difficult times and they were thrilled to see how positively the residents responded. “We took all the necessary precautions, wore gloves and observed social distancing guidelines, but it was an opportunity to have a quick chat with residents and let them know that we care,” she said.

Later, the Chairperson of the Residents’ Committee, Alice Conway, told Gail the Easter parade had “lit up the village and was just what the village needed”. Take a bow, Gail and your team – you have demonstrated the true spirit of Easter.
