Tick of approval for Living Choice Home Care
A major milestone was achieved by Living Choice Home Care on 25th May – and it had Home Care Operations Manager, Kylie Johnson, not only breathing a sigh of relief but beaming with well-deserved pride.
Over the past few months, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission has been conducting a performance report on Living Choice Home Care. The comprehensive audit measures the provider’s performance, in relation to the quality of care and services, against the Aged Care Quality Standards. The audit follows the Royal Commission into Aged Care and the need to provide older Australians with high quality care and services.
Home Care Operation Manager, Kylie Johnson, was over the moon to receive the final audit report which declared that Living Choice Home Care is fully compliant.
Included in the Quality Standards measured were the following:
Consumer dignity and choice; Ongoing assessment and planning with consumers; Personal care and clinical care; Services and supports for daily living; Organisation’s service environment; Feedback and complaints; Human resources; Organisational governance.
“Our team put a lot of effort into the audit, so I am thrilled that the Commission has deemed Living Choice Home Care to be fully compliant,” she said.
“A lot of hard work and commitment has gone into bringing Living Choice Home Care up to this standard over the past three years. I am fortunate to work with some very experienced and knowledgeable Case Managers and a dedicated Customer Services Team which has been instrumental in our success.
“I am very proud of our Home Care Team and very grateful for the quality care and services they provide our clients each day. Congratulations to all the team.”
Kylie said that while the Home Care team members were thrilled to pass the audit, they were always seeking to improve. “Residents are currently being asked to provide feedback via a survey, which is being advertised in the weekly Resident Communiques.”
