Twin Waters celebrates their Living Treasures

A small idea to bring people together, “thinking we should do a morning tea for all residents over 90”, has now turned into a well-received, and popular, yearly event.

Over the years this event has evolved with some name changes, and the age restrictions have been relaxed too.

So this year, Living Choice Twin Waters ambassadors Thelma Richardson, Dorothy Blythe and their team of superstars, decided to officially call the morning tea celebrations for our retirement residents 85 and over, ‘Living Treasures Morning Tea’.

Held on Tuesday 23rd November, thirty-two residents participated in the Living Treasures Morning Tea in the dining room.

These delightful Living Treasures arrived beautifully dressed and spent the morning in a refined and relaxed setting, sharing stories and enjoying each other’s company.

I was charmed by Faith Overson, a long-term resident at Twin Waters when she shared her love for music. She is an accomplished pianist, having played and taught over the years. She is also proficient on the violin.

No doubt there are many more stories to share and I very much look forward to hearing them.
