Twin Waters hosts Fairfax Seniors’ Forum

Living Choice Twin Waters was the venue host for the Fairfax Seniors’ Forum on Wednesday 17th May.  MP Ted O’Brien was pleased to welcome a large crowd of over 90 people who attended from the local Fairfax community, including some Living Choice residents.

The event was to bring awareness and educate everyone on online safety and cyber security in the digital world.

On arrival, guests enjoyed a welcoming morning tea and had a few minutes to enjoy the lovely surroundings of the Leisure Centre and mingle with the guest speakers.

The forum had three speakers - from Capa Services, iDCare and NBN - who were all equally captivating. They held the attendees’ interest with stories on cybercrime and the need to be vigilant and educated on how easy it is to be subjected to a scam. There were many key takeaways that the group of seniors took home, including the need to change passwords!

Thank you, Ted O’Brien and the guest speakers for allowing us the opportunity to learn more about this important topic.

Many thanks to the resident helpers for serving the lovely morning tea.
