Twin Waters resident cycles 100km for charity

Twelve years ago Living Choice Twin Waters resident, David Greenhalgh, started cycling with a close friend. He is now powering his way through big events like the Brisbane to Gold Coast 100km cycling challenge and is doing us all proud! The B2GC, held on the 15th September, is the longest cycle David has attempted and he came through with flying colours. “I just loved the whole experience, the beautiful weather, the sociable aspect and the mini getaway from the Sunshine Coast,” says David. From Brisbane to the Gold Coast, nothing was taking away David’s smile on the day.

The 100km challenge began at the University of Queensland in Brisbane and finished up at the Broadwater Parklands on the Gold Coast with all funds raised donated to Mater Hospital’s “Smiling for Smiddy”.  Funds raised through Smiling for Smiddy support vital cancer research at Mater Research, Mater’s world-class research institute.

The Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle Challenge is Queensland’s biggest and best bike ride and for its 15th year over 4,000 people entered, including cyclists from across the globe.

We love how active our residents are and it is great to see them participate in events like this.  Great work David!
