Twin Waters residents commemorate our ANZACS

ANZAC Day 2020, not exactly what we all had in mind but nonetheless still an extremely special day, even when commemorated on our front driveways. Residents at Living Choice Twin Waters took to their driveways with flags and candles while listening to the dawn services played on radios and TVs to remember those Australian and New Zealand heroes.

Instead of marches, two-up and our other usual Anzac Day traditions, residents came up with other ideas to honour our fallen during past wars. Robert Airs, long-term resident of Living Choice Twin Waters, had a very Australian set-up in his driveway where he was offering homemade biscuits, orange juice and wine throughout the day for residents to come and enjoy – all the while observing social distancing, of course!

It was also an amazing sight to see multiple houses decorated with war memorabilia, Australian flags, and pictures of loved ones who served in the World Wars. What a great way to honour those who served our country, even in these trying times!
